First time to write since Roswell

The desert really began when we left Roswell. It wasn't all sand like I expected - it was shrubby. There were rocks and sand, but there were lots of bushes as well. Kristin drove from Roswell until we got onto the turn from 285N to I-40. I had to pee so bad we stopped at Cline's Corner, which was the only building you could see. It was a huge shop with lot so different things in it. you could get cacti, Indian jewelry, moccasins for the whole family, and a lot more. The next time we stopped for gas, these two guys were sitting outside eating subs. The next morning I saw them at the Grand Canyon! They were also going to San Diego - to the zoo. So weird! Kristin and I took some pictures out on the rocks at the Canyon. I hoped they turned out. i'm getting ahead of myself... After the Corner, I drove us through more desert and through Albuquerque. i really liked how that city looked from the highway and the desert just got more beautiful as we went on. We got to the mountains and all these rocks - boulders - were stacked up perfectly. Like God placed them all by hand so they would stay. It was so gorgeous. I absolutely love the desert. It is so very hot though - different form Florida. We've gotten a nice collection of Star Trek toys from BK Lounge. We keep hitting them all the time to make random noises. Best meal toys EVER! We didn't make it to the Canyon until dark. we can kind of see it in the fading light, but we know its so much better in the full light of day. we don't want to drive to Vegas, so we try to find a campsite on the east side so we can crash in the car. Eventually we find one, but a guy with a motorcycle is already there. he lets us stay just because we are crashing in the car. we wake up at 5am with the birds and the sun to drive back to the main area. We leave before the gift stores are open so I have no postcards. I don't have enough from Roswell yet. i have to see if I can find any in San Diego. Maybe in L.A. if we ever get there. Anyway, we drive from the Canyon to Vegas passing through more deserts and mountains. when we get there, the city looks so dirty. We end up in a hotel that's all the way down the Strip pass the airport. Emerald Suites was actually very nice. I was really impressed. We got there and rested for a bit. The hotel had a shuttle to take us to the Strip, but it was too late for food. we were starving. We walked down the Strip - well up actually - in our dresses and heels earning us HUGE blisters. no Food, No Drink, No Gambling. We eventually ended up in Caesar's Palace and got a taxi back.
Walking through New york, New York was awesome because it was exactly like New York City! Way impressive. We saw the fountains at the Bellagio and on our way to Caesar's, we saw an Elvis and Marilyn Monroe impersonators. We left early from Vegas to drive to San Diego. We left at 7am, I believe. Yes, 7am. We drove over the Hoover Dam! That was exciting. After seeing all the power lines and stuff, I definitely want to be there if/when the zombie apocalypse happens. In Baker's, NV we stopped and got Fresh Alien Jerky and had my "fortune" told by an alien. It was fun. the jerky is good! It was close to Death Valley and Area 51, but we continued into California - Hoover's Dam? - We couldn't tell when the California state line began, so we "wooed" just in case. When we got to the check point, the guy said "It's Venus and Aphrodite." then he proceeded to ask us if we had any fresh fruit, or ice coolers, or baseball bats - to fend off all the guys that would be after us.
We finally arrived in San Diego and i was miserable and ready to be stationary. It was very hot in the sun and tolerable in the shade. Kristin went inside, and after deliberation, I took Bruno for a walk. Some guy saw me walk pass and followed me in his car! I was so freaked out! Anyway, I talked with him for a bit, but then he really started hitting o me. And when I tried to distract him and get him to go aay by talking on my phone, he got out of the car and leaned against my window! I called James and was so afraid! I tried to drive away and he left. James was worried for me. So i was scared all day yesterday when we were unloading. i still have yet to officially have vegetables. I bought broccoli.
We finished unloading and started to unpack. Kristin doesn't have a bed. She has a frame and memory foam - but no bed. I've been sleeping on the couch. Last night we fell asleep to Psych. Yesterday was exhausting. To day we went through more stuff, rearranged furniture and hung pictures. After buying lunch at Albertsons - a real grocery store - we started watching an anime which is so cute! It's called His and Her Circumstance. i want to buy the DVDs. We walked to get dinner at this Chinese place. i twas good and cheap. There was so much food - I have leftovers for breakfast. i am already to continue watching but Kristin is talking to Loving and she turned off the light. She talks to him way too much. When I get a boyfriend, there will have to be certain rules. Other than that I have more ideas for my story. Can't wait to write - did I mention there is no Internet - at least legally? I had to call Brice and let him know. Yay! She's finally getting off the phone and we can watch anime again!
